Carrera solidaria

El pasado  jueves 30 de octubre los alumnos corrieron la carrera más terrorífica. Se esforzaron muchísimo y gracias a ellos y a la colaboración de los familiares y amig@s podremos donar lo recaudado a la asociación local AMI. 3

 

Agente Tutor

El martes nos visitó el agente tutor para explicarnos los peligros de internet y nos aconsejó acerca de como podemos navegar con seguridad.

Reading books

BOOK PRESENTATIONS- Thursdays

 Each student has to read at least one book every month and give in a short summary which they will also have to orally present in class in 2-5 minutes. Every time the student presents he/she will have to hand in the summary and the book and take out a new one. If the student reads and summarizes more than one book each month he/she will be rewarded in their grade but they will still only have to present one. 

 Los alumnos deben leer al menos un libro en inglés cada mes. En la fecha señalada deberán entregar el resumen y hacer una breve presentación oral (2-5 minutos) acerca del contenido del libro. Si un alumno lee y resume más de un libro al mes se verá recompensado en la nota final pero no deberá presentarlo en clase. Las fechas de presentación están colgadas en las aulas y se pueden enviar por correo si es preciso.

  If the student already has a ClassDojo student account: 

1. Visit www.classdojo.com/student
2. Enter existing username and password under “Log in” on the right. REMEMBER: Username is the educamadrid username without the . or @educa.madrid.org

What can students do?  Check their progress for the week and build their own avatar to show up in class! Students cannot...  See the point totals of other students, see your comments to parents  or communicate with other students.

Padres:

Hoy en la clase de 5B hemos creado nuestras cuentas y avatares de class dojo. Esta semana lo haremos también en 5A.  Es una herramienta que nos permite otorgar puntos negativos o positivos instantáneamente a los alumnos. Es una manera de premiar y motivar a los alumnos a la vez que una manera de mantener a los padres informados acerca del rendimiento de sus hijos en el aula. Los alumnos han creado su propio usuario y contraseña pero no se les asigna ningún correo electrónico ni es una manera de comunicarse con otros alumnos. A través de la cuenta que han creado pueden modificar su avatar y ver cuántos puntos tienen.

 La mayoría de los alumnos ya han invitado a sus padres mediante correo electrónico para que se creen una cuenta en la cual pueden ver la puntuación de sus hijos. Los que no hayan recibido la invitación deben seguir los siguientes pasos:

1. Pedir a su hij@ la hoja que les he entregado en la cuál viene un código para los padres.
2. Ir a www.classdojo.com/parent e introducir su código.

First week

Hello year 5!

I hope you're having a good first week :)

Today we did the initial evaluation! I will tell you the results on Monday. This grade will not be used when elaborating the end of term grades (boletín), so don't worry if you didn't do too well. 

Also, you took out a book from the class library and this weekend you have to read the first 10 pages. You have to read minimum one book per month, but if you read more you'll be rewarded. I will explain how to write the summary and how to do the presentation next week, so all you've got to do this weekend is  READ!
